Content Strategist
FMX
FMX is a fast-growing SaaS company that helps schools and local governments run their operations more efficiently. FMX is seeking a Content Strategist to shape the voice, vision, and strategy behind our content program. We’re not looking for someone to crank out blog posts. We are looking for someone who can blend creativity with strategy to build a content engine that informs, inspires, and drives real business results.
You will oversee our full content strategy: defining what we create, why it matters, and how we measure success. You’ll use AI tools to streamline production and insights, but your real value will come from your ability to make our content authentic and worth reading.
Responsibilities:
As a Content Strategist, you will:
- Build and own a content strategy that supports our key business goals: lead generation, customer education, and brand awareness.
- Use AI tools to improve research and production efficiency, freeing up time for creative and strategic thinking.
- Lead a content process where humans add the insight, nuance, and voice that make stories resonate.
- Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success to uncover new content opportunities and ensure alignment.
- Create content that stands out, whether it’s a headline that stops someone mid-scroll or a story that captures a real pain point.
- Bring structure and systems to our content ecosystem (e.g., Wistia, YouTube, internal sharing) so every piece fits into a bigger picture.
- Leverage multiple forms of content (written, video, visual, and interactive) to make information easier to share, digest, and act on.
- Think creatively to develop new approaches for achieving goals such as testing fresh ideas, formats, and distribution tactics to move the needle.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, both internally (SEs and practice leaders) and externally (FMX customer advisory group).
Preferred Experience & Qualities:
What are we looking for in this role?:
- Experience building and executing successful content strategies that connect the dots between brand and business results.
- Continuously seeks new ways to improve, experiment, and elevate creative work through curiosity and innovation.
- Comfortability using modern tools, such as AI to work efficiently without replacing human creativity.
- Ability to lead and inspire cross functional teams by fostering collaboration and delivering cohesive brand narratives.
- Prioritization of authenticity, empathy, and audience connection to strengthen brand loyalty and trust.
- Experience crafting multi-format content strategies with an ability to adapt storytelling across video, written, and social platforms to ensure consistent, compelling brand messaging.
- Experience building scalable systems and processes that streamline content creation, ensuring repeatable excellence and efficiency across teams and campaigns.
- A match with our core pillars: Teamwork, Excellence and Integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in content marketing or strategy, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Proven success building and managing a content calendar.
- Strong grasp of SEO, analytics, and content performance metrics.
- Skilled with modern CMS and marketing tools; passionate about staying ahead of trends.
- Regular user of AI tools for research, ideation, and optimization.

- Experience understanding how content can rank and appear in LLM-driven search results.
- Experience with video editing.
