Gymdesk is a category-leading online management software for gyms, martial arts schools, yoga studios and other fitness and wellness businesses.

We are expanding into the Japanese market, and are looking to hire a bilingual customer service / sales associate who can present our product to prospective customers in Japan, both in-person and online, and provide support throughout the onboarding process.

The ideal candidate loves talking to people and proactively solving problems. We have an awesome product loved by thousands of businesses, and we need your help to introduce it to small business owners who could use it to improve their operations in Japan. We are a small and dynamic team (20 people currently), and you will be joining a team of 6 reps, and answer directly by our VP of Customer Success.

This is a remote position. We have an office is Yoyogi (Tokyo), however attendance would only be required once a month at most.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email and chat
  • Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing and availability
  • Translate marketing text and documentation from English to Japanese

Qualifications

  • Fluent Japanese speaker, strong communication skills in English
  • At least 1 - 3 years experience in sales or customer service
  • Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to quickly learn new software products

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary is ¥5M annually
  • Observing national holidays
  • 20 days vacations annually, can be rolled over one year
  • Enrollment into company health insurance and national pension
