The Role

The Product & Tech team at Magma is divided into three core user experiences: Student, Teacher and District. We want you to lead the Student experience to 100M users.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap and KPIs for the Student Platform

• Stay 6-12 months ahead of the team: explore what’s next, build prototypes, validate ideas early with users, collaborate with market sales leaders

• Lead PMs who run cross-functional team of developers, designers and QA

• Hire when needed to build a world-class product team

• First 6 months includes taking PM responsibility yourself to learn the product and company

Who you are and what you know

• You care deeply about building great products and obsess over details

• You are hands-on and want to understand users, data, design and technology yourself

• You take ownership, move fast and are comfortable making decisions without having all the data

• You have own opinions and are comfortable challenging how things are done

• You are curious, low-ego and care about building a great team

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience with background in product

• Experience of fast-paced and high-performance environments

• Experience leading people and teams

• Engineering degree (or equivalent) from top tier university

• Startup experience - you know what you are getting yourself into!

Nice to have

• Founder background

• Experience in Edtech or education

• Experience in software engineering or data science

• Portfolio of products you've built
