Purpose:

At Rebrandly, we embrace a serverless-first approach to development, leveraging AWS services to maximize scalability, reduce operational overhead, and ensure rapid deployment. This allows our team to focus on delivering high-quality features while maintaining robust, cost-effective systems. Our serverless architecture underpins our commitment to innovation and efficiency, providing a reliable foundation for our link management platform.

This position will be fully remote in the United States. Rebrandly does not sponsor work authorization needs; candidates must have proper work authorization to work for any employer in the United States, without sponsorship from the company.

About You:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll architect and enhance our serverless backend infrastructure, drive cloud engineering initiatives, and ensure our systems maintain persistent reliability. You'll design scalable APIs, payment and subscription solutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our link management platform. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, take ownership of complex technical challenges, including cloud architecture and high-availability systems, and implement elegant solutions that support our growing user base while delivering enterprise-grade reliability.

What You’ll Do:

  • Architect and build scalable, high-availability systems for link management solutions.
  • Partner with product, design, and operations teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Drive AI-first product development with the team, ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability.
  • Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Python within AWS serverless environments (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, etc.).
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between client and server components.
  • Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes with minimal service disruption.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in our architecture and codebase.
  • Works independently and demonstrates autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving.

We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have:

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and Python, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming patterns.
  • AI-driven mindset and experience applying AI-first developer-experience practices.
  • Extensive experience with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS).
  • Solid understanding of database design and optimization (both SQL and NoSQL).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Previous experience working in SaaS companies with understanding of SaaS-specific challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to work effectively in remote distributed teams
  • Maintained the site reliability engineering practices including comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and automated failover strategies

While It’s Not Required, It’s An Added Plus If You Also Have:

  • Familiarity with AWS security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience with real-time analytics processing.
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Background in high-traffic consumer applications.
  • An understanding of networking areas such as URL shortening, redirection logic, and efficient link routing to complement the platform's functionality is appreciated.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000 annually. We determine final compensation based on your experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. This role may also include
