Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary:
Intelligence Analysts play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of DarkOwl. The Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for conducting investigations on the dark web, using OSINT tools to identify potential risks and threats, and providing finished intelligence reports for customers on a regular cadence based on their requirements. They will also conduct threat hunting research, monitor threat actor groups, and provide marketing content. The Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring the dark web to identify trends, sites of interest and actors of interest.
Darknet analysis and reports are an integral part of providing all levels of security analysis, protection, and investigative services to commercial and enterprise clients across all industries – allowing organizations to reduce their threat exposure while eliminating the security risk of navigating in the darknet.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Conduct Dark web and OSINT investigations (Services) of behalf of new and existing customers and issuing professional reports
· Provide summaries of findings directly to customers as needed
· Develop personas for, maintain situational awareness of, and stay up-to-date with happenings on the darknet.
· Identify, gather, evaluate, and interpret data from new and established online sources.
· Research and write blogs and whitepapers which for marketing purposes.
· Support the collections team with research and sourcing of information from the Dark Web
Provide enrichment of our data while conducting validated research on threat actors, tools and trends
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to analyze large amounts of information and make assessments with confidence levels
· Exceptional written communication skills, demonstrating proficiency in crafting clear, concise, and engaging content across various mediums and audiences
· OPSEC-first mindset and behavior.
· You’ve created and managed personas on the deep web or darknet, encrypted chat platforms, or hacking forums.
· You know how to identify and use OSINT tools and techniques to surface relevant data or solve complex investigative issues.
· You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are capable of working independently, while anticipating and meeting business needs.
You’re familiar with Cybersecurity, Cybercrime, Hacking Methodology, and/or Data Forensics.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
· Technical skills—such as scripting languages (Python/Bash) skills, task automation skills, working with Linux or Mac command line—are a plus.
Education and Experience:
· You need to have 2-3 years’ experience as an intelligence analyst or cyber threat analyst
